Children:
1. John Henry (Bohnstedt) *3 / M, bn: 1875, Probably Olney,, Richland County, Illinois / (see 3-3-7100)

*1.  3-3-7000 and any constituent family tables derived from it were moved to this page because of the apparent small number of actual tables. Although William and Maggie had at least the 5 sons that we know of, it appears that only two, John Henry Bohnstedt and Charles Christopher Bohnstedt, had any children. In this case we found only one child fathered by each man.  In both cases the child was a daughter, who most likely did not carry the Bohnstedt name forward.
*2. One birth record allegedly gives Wilhelm "William" Bohnstedt's place of birth Iowa.  However, every census record since his birth which mentions William lists his place of birth as Ohio, not Iowa.
*3. John Henry was probably named for his uncle, Johann Heinrich "Henry" Christoph Bohnstedt who died in the Civil War
*4. There are two different records for Edward's year of birth.  A social security death index states that his year of birth was 1877.  However, draft registration cards, for both WWI and WWII, signed by Edward himself, states his year of birth as 1878.  I'm inclined to believe the draft record, since Edward must have known his own year and date of birth.
*5. Different records indicate different places of birth for Ida; one in California, another in Mississippi.  However, this is almost certainly the same Ida, despite the discrepancy.
6. There are four children buried in Haven Hill Cemetery near Olney Illinois for whom family links could not be found.  They are all buried in Section A, where William and Maggie Bohnstedt, and two of their sons, John Henry and "Willie" are buried.  I personally believe these four children; Frankie, Ollie, Minnie and Milla, were children of William and Maggie.
